Classes
There are a variety of classes each month that take place in the office and are complimentary.
The 100 Healthy Years class includes posture education and is recommended for all new patients. This class covers the basics of posture and ergonomics so that you do not continue to repeat the same bad habits that caused or is aggravating the problem that brought you in. We have found that patients that complete this class get better faster and stay better longer.
Our diet class teaches how to eat to lower the inflammation in your body. Inflammation has been linked to the top killers in this country; heart disease and cancer. Inflammation starts the cholesterol placqueing of the arteries which is arteriosclerosis. It has also been linked to the metastasis of cancer. Interestingly this diet not only lowers inflammation but it also lowers your weight if you want.
The meditation class is an introduction into meditation with a relaxing 10 minute meditation. For those interested we also have individual training in meditation in our new meditation room.
We recommend that you bring a guest for all of classes because it is always more enjoyable to get healthy with a friend or loved one! Dr. Barker enjoys speaking to outside groups so these and other workshops are available.
